Lest we forget - a debt is owed and is due now! You do the math?

Some say caring for our seniors is just too costly?
-
We say a debt is owed and our generation must pay it before it is too late. In the past 4 years the B.C. Liberal government has
cut back on seniors care dramatically. In the next 4 years it could be too late and our generation will never again have an opportunity
repay our debt to this generation. When it was their time to step up to the plate and protect our future many gave their lives for us.
Now in their time of need we say it is just too costly to provide them the premium care they are owed.
-
Now in their time of need, we hear our MLA defending statements about that brave generation like - When a high level IHA offical was asked to comment on the rational
that seniors in Home Care are only allotted 1 bath a week. She replied, “That generation grew up only bathing once a week any ways.” Our MLA, Bill Bennet has
defended this statement and suggests that mentioning that statement which was a reply to a question at a Liberal sponsored IHA public meeting and verified
at a community IHA public meeting is slanderous. I say Bill Bennet, where were you when it came to defending their (that generations) honor. I was right
here fighting for that generation, trying to convince our government to acknowledge the debt and to do the right thing before it is to late.
For some our debt can never be repaid, but for those left, we must accept our debt and pay it with the best possible health care that is possible.
-
I am wondering when our MLA's, MP and Prime Minister are at our November 11th Remembrance Day services, will they just be paying lip service or will they
actually be thinking about their (that generations) contribution and about repaying our debt to that generation before it is too late?
I am wondering if they have the courage to actually look these veterans and that generation in the eyes?
I am wondering if our debt will be repaid and if the Canadian public are ever called upon again to make the ultimate sacrifice, with that
generation have the courage to rise to the task or will our freedom be lost?
I am wondering if our elected MLA's, MP's will just spin the debt and say they are doing their best, when we the public know the real truth?
-
Facts you should know.
The Campbell Government is shutting down forty-six senior care facilities across British Columbia, while downsizing many more facilities.

We see Health Care Coalitions across B.C. with ever increasing numbers of members. We would say to our MLA's, MP's, we the public has awakened and will hold you
accountable. Please note that Provincial governments like Manitoba and Ontario has recognized the value of repaying their debt to (that generation).
-
We ask you to contribute and join your local Health Care Coalition and do your part to repay the debt. We would ask that one week before our
May 17th, 2005 B.C. election the people across B.C. only take one bath in respect of our Seniors and support for their care.
